Categories: Global, Stocks, Investing and Trading,

TOPIX. One of the two major indices which tracks the performance of the tokyo stock exchange (TSE), the other being the nikkei stock average. TOPIX is a measure of the performance of the largest companies (those in the First Section) of the TSE. Many believe that the TOPIX index is most accurate in representing the TSE, because it includes the largest companies, and also deals better with price changes.
