Collective Rationalization

The tendency of groups to re-enforce shared beliefs, manufacturing justifications and excluding contrary evidence and viewpoints. Collective rationalization can lead to problems for companies managed by a group that is not open to criticism or external conclusions, as conformist thinking may obscure potential problems or opportunities.
