Vendor Note

A debt instrument issued by vendors, in which the goods are purchased by the buyer and paid for with debt issued by the seller, backed by the products being purchased. Vendor notes enable established vendors to develop business with cash-poor customers, such as startups or businesses undergoing temporary setbacks.
