Soft Money

1. Currency made of paper, as opposed to gold, silver, or other coins made of metal. 2. A one-time gift of money, designated for a specific purpose. The most common example of soft money is political campaign contributions. 3. The use of credit, as opposed to cash. opposite of hard money.
