Premium To Net Asset Value

A situation related to pricing that happens when the value of stock in a closed end mutual fund is trading at a premium in relation to the net asset value of its other components. This premium occurs due to the optimistic feelings of investors with regard to the fund. This could be due in part to the fund being well managed and having good investment strategies.
