Portfolio Margin

A risk-based calculation of actual risk in a diversified investment portfolio. Portfolio margin is used to establish a margin requirement for an account by determining a greatest-possible loss and an upside gain. Generally more forgiving, and freeing more capital, than are strategy-based margin requirements.
