Montreal Exchange (MX)

One of the oldest exchanges in Canada that trades stocks, derivatives, and a variety of future and options contracts. The exchange is located in Montreal, Quebec and formerly went by Montreal stock exchange. The exchange serves as the country's oldest and leading derivatives exchange. The exchange is owned by tmx group, which formed after tsx group acquired the exchange in 2007. The Montreal Exchange has also been credited with introducing stock options to Canada and the creation of a major futures market.
