Meaning / Definition of
Immigrant Population
Categories: Economics,
The immigrant population is usually defined in one of two ways. Some countries have traditionally focused on producing data that represents foreign nationals (European countries and Japan) whilst others refer to the foreign-born (Australia, Canada and the United States). This difference in focus relates in part to the nature and the history of immigration systems and legislation on citizenship and Naturalisation.
