Continuation Pattern

A charting pattern used in technical analysis, where a security continues to exhibit a certain kind of behavior or trend. The longer a trend or pattern is followed, the more likely that the security will return to that trend even if it temporarily breaks away. Typical patterns include triangles and wedges.
