Bearish Engulfing Pattern
Categories: Stocks, Technical Analysis,
A security chart pattern used by technical analysts that uses candlesticks to express price points throughout a trading day. The pattern is displayed when a longer black candle - an indicator showing a lower closing price than opening price - appears following a shorter white candle (higher closing than opening price). The opening and closing prices on the black candle are both higher than the white candle; this could indicate a turn from a bull market to a bearish trend.
