Anti-reciprocal Rule

A financial industry regulatory authority (FINRA) regulation whereby a mutual fund manager and brokerage firm cannot influence customers to conduct business with the other company. The rule addresses a conflict of interest that exists between the two market makers, and protects investors from being unscrupulously advised.
