412(i) Plan

A tax-free retirement savings plan intended for small business owners where funds are administered exclusively in life insurance or annuity contracts. There is no limit on contributions that must be funded by an insurance company who guarantees all benefits. The 412(i) plan is ideal for firms with less than 10 employees.
