Current/noncurrent Method

A method for recording the value of assets held by a foreign subsidiary. Under the current/noncurrent method, current assets and liabilities are valued at the current exchange rate for the foreign nation's currency, while long-term or noncurrent assets and liabilities are valued at what the exchange rate was when they were acquired.
